डेरा सच्चा सौदा के गुरमीत राम रहीम को हत्या के मामले में आजीवन कारावास

 डेरा सच्चा सौदा प्रमुख गुरमीत राम रहीम डेरा प्रेमी रणजीत सिंह की हत्या के मामले में पंचकुला की एक अदालत ने आजीवन कारावास की सज़ा सुनाई है.

उनपर 31 लाख का जुर्माना भी लगाया गया है.

इससे पहले पंचकूला में सीबीआई की विशेष अदालत ने उन्हें रणजीत सिंह की हत्या के मामले में दोषी ठहराया था.

गुरमीत राम रहीम बलात्कार और एक पत्रकार की हत्या के मामले में पहले से ही जेल में अपनी सज़ा काट रहे हैं.

रणजीत सिंह डेरा सच्चा सौदा की 10 सदस्यों वाली समिति के सदस्य थे. साल 2002 में उनकी हत्या कर दी गई थी, जिसके लिए डेरा प्रमुख को अभियुक्त माना गया था.

कौन हैं गुरमीत राम रहीम सिंह?

गुरमीत राम रहीम का विवादों से पुराना रिश्ता रहा है.

15 अगस्त 1967 को राजस्थान के श्रीगंगानगर में जन्मे राम रहीम 1990 में डेरा सच्चा सौदा के प्रमुख बने.डेरा की स्थापना 1948 में शाह मस्ताना ने की थी. आज पूरे देश में इनके 50 से अधिक आश्रम और लाखों की संख्या में अनुयायी हैं.

डेरा का प्रमुख काम सामाजिक कार्य, रक्तदान और ग़रीबों के लिए मदद जुटाना आदि है. इतना ही नहीं, डेरा प्रमुख फ़िल्मों में भी आजमाइश कर चुके हैं.

गुरमीत राम रहीम के बेटे की शादी कांग्रेस सदस्य हरमिंदर सिंह जस्सी की बेटी के साथ हुई है. हालांकि हरियाणा के पिछले चुनाव में उन्होंने भारतीय जनता पार्टी का साथ दिया था.

सिरसा स्थित आश्रम में डेरा का अस्पताल भी है जहां लोगों का सस्ता इलाज़ किया जाता है.

डेरा प्रमुख बनने के बाद से राम रहीम विवादों में कई बार घिरे.
